Dolentor, a warlock with a deep disdain for higher powers, experienced several shifts in patronage throughout our campaign—some under his control, others not. He had three distinct patrons, each bringing unique abilities and transformations.

Here are the sketches after the patronage change. I wanted to explore some options to reflect his new ties to a new patronage and new powers.

Respectively; the Pact of Morningstar, granting him the ability to set himself ablaze; the Pact of Mechanus, allowing manipulation of time and space to aid allies; and the Pact of Abyssal Symbiote, eventually transitioning to sorcerer, with an abyssal creature aiding him in combat.

Different costumes and secondary forms for different Warlock Patrons

Dolentor’s final outfit is designed to reflect his role as a melee sorcerer, emphasizing practicality for close combat while displaying the marks and scars from past battles and patronages, including burn marks from the Hellfire Chains he once wielded. The orange scarf is an essential part of his story—a treasured keepsake from his lost twin brother, symbolizing his heritage. This detail was intentionally incorporated into every one of his designs.
