Tarot Deck Design – Work in Progress

I’ve always been fascinated by the mystique and symbolic storytelling of Tarot cards. When the opportunity arose to create my own deck, inspiration came naturally. As a passionate Dungeons & Dragons player, crafting a Tarot deck inspired by my own campaign felt like a perfect fit.

This project remains a work in progress, and I’ve learned so much along the way. Each revisit brings improvements to the rendering and design, reflecting my growth as an artist.

Sketches of all 22 Major Arcana deck. I took great care to match cards with our Dungeons and Dragons campaign’s characters.

The first 2 finished Cards. I later on decided to change the artstyle and go for more realistic rendering.

The current final version of the card The Fool. Still a work in progress.

Clean version of The Fool Card featuring Agnelith Thorne. A tiefling Rogue who died and brought back to life with mechanical augmentations.
